The Maids Pillow Fight
This painting is taken from an old postcard depicting a scene from a theatre production in the early part of last century. The sailor seems to have crept into a posh mansion to visit his lady friend only to be discovered by the rest of the maids, who are exceedingly annoyed.
2005. The lake district.
2005, The lake district. On holiday I took photos everyday. Later, trying to get off of a long time of unemployment I started making these watercolours to sell: size A4.
Stepney Green Park
I became interested in the linear design of this small park and its tall trees. I used to walk though it on the way to Oxford House where I used to volunteer.
1982. Margery's Waterfalls
A sister, Margery, aske me to paint her a waterfall with a Christian sentiment to it. Then I lost contact with her and she never got to see them. The first one was given as a gift to Jacob L, a doctor in psychology who visited me after 20 years (shock). They were from photos of Scottish waterfalls.
1981-82. Van Gogh
1981-2. I made a clay sculpture from a Van Gogh portrait set it on a wooden crate I liked, with a bottle etc., and drew it as a still life in pastel on grey paper.
